A NEW centre aimed at encouraging people to learn online was opened on Tuesday by the Bishop of Durham, the Right Reverend Michael Turnbull.
The UK Online centre, in Willow Road Community Centre, Darlington, is part of a national initiative to develop community-based Internet learning programmes.
A range of courses and training will be provided at the centre, ranging from basic computer and Internet skills to more formal, accredited training.
The town's UK Online centres are being launched by the Darlington Partnership, Darlington College of Technology and the Darlington Lifelong Learning Partnership.
