MUSICIANS and dancers will learn the secrets of a stage phenomenon at workshops next month.
During a visit by dance troupe Stomp to perform at Sunderland's Empire Theatre, two founder members will hold workshops at Sunderland University.
On Monday, March 4, they will teach musicians and dancers how to use dustbins, sink plungers, brooms and work boots to great effect.
Ed Tutty, Press officer for the Empire, said: "It is a fabulous show to watch, but the chance to see it up close and find out about the thinking behind it is one that performers across the region do not want to miss."
Lesley Younger, head of dance at the university, said: "We are delighted to welcome Stomp.
"It is a unique opportunity for our students to learn from these innovative and exciting performers."
