DURHAM University Choral Society is staging a jubilee concert in the city's cathedral.
It will be held on Saturday, with James Lancelot conducting and featuring soloists Claire Bessent, Helena Thomas, Ben Alden, and James Arthur.
The main part of the programme will be Parry's coronation anthem I Was Glad.
A choral society spokesman said: "The rest of the programme provides the choir with the opportunity to sing two rarely-performed pieces - Stravinsky's hauntingly beautiful, and at times unearthly, Symphony of Psalms, and the Mass No 12 in B flat (Harmoniemesse) by Haydn, one of his last great choral symphonies."
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets, costing £12 and £8, concessions £8 and £5, are available from Durham Tourist Information Centre, in the market place
