Belmont Cricket Club, on the outskirts of Durham, is looking for recruits for the new season, which begins at the end of April.
The club plays at Belmont Community Association re-creation area, off Sunderland Road, and fields teams in the North-East Durham League.
Club stalwart Peter Welsh, said: "We'd like to hear from anyone interested in playing, whether its those wishing to learn, those wishing to improve, those wishing to resume glorious careers interrupted by marriage, fatherhood, shopping, DIY or any other reason, and those who are already stars and fancy the idea of swapping clubs."
Anyone interested is asked to contact Mr Welsh, on 0191-417 6286, or Tony Reynolds, on 0191-384 0245.
Net practice begins at Durham School, in Quarryheads Lane, on Sunday at 10am.
