Teenage pregnancy and sexually-transmitted diseases are two of the topics to be discussed during an awareness day in Derwentside.
Youth workers, GPs, nurses, teachers, parents and young people themselves are invited to take part in the Access Still Matters day about sexual health, child birth, education support and parenting.
Running from 9.30am to 4pm on Thursday, the event will be held at the Royal Derwent Hotel, in Allensford.
During the afternoon youngsters from King James I Community College, in Bishop Auckland, will present a play on teenage pregnancy.
Lesley Irving, an outreach worker for Derwentside, Dur-ham and Chester-le-Street Health Promotion, said: "It will provide an opportunity for young people and professionals to share information and take part in a number of workshops.
