CONCERNS over the loss of a community centre used by a group of elderly people have prompted planners at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council to carry out a site visit.
The move follows an application to convert the community centre, in Fabian Road, Eston, into a bungalow.
But the Fabian Road Senior Citizens' Group said it would leave them without a home.
At the council's planning committee meeting, on Monday, concerns were raised about the lack of community facilities for elderly people in the area.
Planners will visit the site to find out the problems the closure could cause.
