A 15-YEAR-OLD boy who has a record of being a persistent and violent offender has become the latest person to be given an anti-social behaviour order.
Granting the order, South Tyneside magistrates yesterday granted permission for Daniel David, of Glen Street, Hebburn, to be identified.
The three-year order, imposed yesterday, is aimed at protecting the people of South Tyneside from Harte's behaviour by banning him from any anti-social activity, including being drunk in public.
The order was welcomed by South Tyneside officers involved in prosecuting Harte.
PC Kevin Graham, who was in charge of the case, said: "We took this action because of Harte's record, which showed he was a persistent and violent offender and was often under the influence of alcohol when committing these offences.
"The police had to take action to protect the community and to help Harte adjust his behaviour."
