Sedgefield 75 men's team was confirmed as champions of the Northumberland and Durham Senior League 2001 for the first time at the recent league meeting.
This was an excellent achievement as all the players are under 18 except Lee Cooke and veteran players Steven Fuy, Rob Woodcock and George Carpenter.
Sedgefield did not drop a point during the season. Sedgefield made a clean sweep of all the county championships winning Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, girls and ladies championships.
The rest of the Sedgefield men's squad was: David Farmer, Peter Atkinson, Ian Storey, Steven Yale, Adam Burton, Scott Carpenter, George Carpenter Jnr, Oliver Metcalfe, Tom McEneary, Chris McEneary, Chris Gilbertson, Mark Jones
