PUPILS at Aycliffe Village Primary School have been planting fruit trees in the school grounds.
The children were supervised by Joanne Stukins, from the School Ground Projects.
The school bought three trees with a grant of £105 from Durham County Council last year, which in turn was funded by the Tree Council as part of National Tree Week.
Miss Stukins talked to the class about the importance of trees and showed the children how to plant them.
