HEALTHY food and plenty of it was on the menu at the launch of a new club in Middlesbrough.
The North Ormesby Good Grub Club aims to encourage people to get involved in the community and learn all about nutritional eating.
Project worker Amanda Dexter said the first meeting - where visitors sampled tasty treats prepared by the Grangetown Good Grub Club - was a big success.
She said: "We had 25 people there which is quite good considering that not many things like this have run in North Ormesby.
"The Grangetown club has worked well and we're hoping this will be the beginning of a brand-new weekly club.
"It's for all ages and all sexes and is really about empowerment and tackling social exclusion, as well as about cooking and learning about healthy eating."
The club - sponsored by Tees and North-East Yorkshire NHS Trust, the Streets Ahead Partnership, One North-East and Health Action Zone Teesside - will meet each Wednesday between 10am and 1pm in North Ormesby Youth and Community Centre, Derwent Street.
