THE drivers of cars parked at the back of the Clarendon pub and the old Barclays Bank in Hartlepool are being asked to get in touch with police.
It is believed that at about 11am on Monday several cars may have been the subject of attempted thefts.
In particular, police would like the owners of a white Audi, old-style coupe with possibly a damaged quarter light, a green Citroen ZX and a blue Ford Fiesta to get in touch with them.
Among items recovered from suspected thefts from cars are a tool roll and a cordless electric screwdriver.
The drivers of the cars or people who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area are asked to contact police on (01642) 302136
