SOME of Teesside's most talented young musicians will be taking part in a musical extravaganza.
The 70 members of the Tees Valley Youth Orchestra, whose ages range from 13 to 20, will be playing at the Stockton Baptist Tabernacle.
The orchestra hails from schools and colleges across the Tees Valley and it also boasts three members who play in the National Youth Brass Band - Sam Kennedy, on the violin, Danny Allinson, on percussion, and Ben Cauldwell, on the tuba.
The orchestra will also be joined by a former member, David Spencer, who is a soloist in the Sibelius Violin Concerto.
Head of Tees Valley Music Service, David Kendall, who will be conducting, said: "We are extremely fortunate to have such a wealth of talent within the orchestra.
"The students' commitment clearly shines through in their enthusiasm during our weekly, three-hour rehearsals, and the concert is sure to be a lively and enjoyable occasion."
The concert takes place on March 9. Tickets are £6 and can be purchased from the Tees Valley Music Service, on (01642) 603600.
