A NORTH-EAST trio which can count Prince William and Tony Blair among its fans has picked up a second award.

Reagan, who perform on the club and holiday camp circuit, have been named Regal Fame Game's Clubland Entertainers of the Year 2002.

The County Durham group collected their prize at the Lancastrian Suite, Dunston, at the weekend, a competition won last year by Pop Idol finalist Aaron Bailey. It is the group's second big award, after winning the best trio category at the North-East Clubland Awards last week.

The group was formed in February 2000 by Jonathan Regan, 29, from Trimdon Grange and comprises himself, his brother David, 26, and Susan Wylie, 29, from Peterlee.

Jonathan said: "We were chuffed to bits to win, it was absolutely fantastic. We've only been going two years and none of us had done anything like this before. We have gone from being wet-behind-the-ears novices experimenting in putting shows together to winning two top awards."

In March last year, Reagan played for Prince William and 40 of his Eton School friends when they visited the area.

July saw them entertaining Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife Cherie, along with Labour Party VIP guests at their annual dinner dance.

The show is a mix of their own material and cover versions.

The group is now recruiting two female members. Auditions are taking place now and anyone interested can contact Jonathan Regan on (01429) 881604.
