Science fun at museum

A SCIENCE fun day will be held at the Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, tomorrow, from 11am to 4pm.

FOOD STOLEN: Burglars stole food from a house in Skipton Close, Newton Aycliffe, between 1.45pm and 2.35pm on Thursday.

GREENHOUSE RAID: A greenhouse in Ravensworth Road, Ferryhill, was broken into between 5.45pm on Wednesday and 10am on Thursday, and two green oil heaters and seven trays of seedlings were stolen.

ROAD CLOSURE: Percy Road, Darlington, will be closed for five days from today. Traffic lights will also be in operation at the Whessoe Road and Percy Road junction for three months from today to allow Balfour Beatty to carry out work on the power network.

ORCHID SHOW: Darlington and District Orchid Society is holding a show at the White Horse Hotel, North Road, Darlington, tomorrow, from 11am to 4pm.

HEART DATE: Darlington Coronary Support Group will hold a meeting for angina sufferers in the antenatal clinic at Darlington Memorial Hospital from noon to 2pm on Wednesday
