PEOPLE interested in the environment are invited to go to the University of Durham, Stockton campus to find out about activities taking place on nearby Portrack Marsh.
The marsh has a rich mix of pools, ponds, reed-beds and grassland and is a haven for wildlife.
It is situated along the north bank of the River Tees near the Tees Barrage.
The site is managed by the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust.
During the year there will be a various activities carried out for which help is needed.
To find out more, go along to the university on Saturday, between 10am and 12pm, when Jonathan Pounder, from the trust, will be talking about the site and encouraging volunteers to help out.
