COUNCIL staff said their final farewells after notching up almost 30 years of service between them.
Peter Bartley and Alan Hays retired from Easington District Council after reaching 65.
To mark their departure, council chairman Councillor Audrey Laing, gave a civic reception honouring their combined 28 years of dedication.
Mr Bartley joined the council in 1984 and has worked for the town for 18 years.
For most of his career, he was a storeman, but latterly became a depot clerk in the authority's central stores.
Mr Hays, who was unable to attend the reception, joined Easington District Council in 1992 and has spent the past decade working as a painter for the authority.
Coun Laing presented Mr Bartley with a commemorative gift on behalf of the council, and Mr Hays will receive his later.
She said: "Peter and Alan both have exemplary records and have dedicated many years to providing good public services."
