ONE of national television's flagship programmes is coming to North Yorkshire.
Question Time, the BBC's political discussion show, is to be broadcast from the Yorkshire Event Centre at the Great Yorkshire Showground, in Harrogate.
Hall Two, which opened for the first time last April, will be transformed into a television studio for the programme on March 21, with the Question Time Set and seating for an audience of 150.
Editor Nick Pisani said: "We wanted to come to Harrogate as we have not been here for many years, but we do have extremely demanding and specific requirements.
"The Yorkshire Event Centre is able to meet these and I'm sure we will have an extremely successful and interesting programme."
The managing director of the centre, Heather Parry, said: "This is further proof that the YEC can accommodate a wide range of events. It really is a blank canvas upon which event organisers can create their individual event."
Admission to the programme, chaired by David Dimbleby, is by free tickets only. See the Question Time website at www.bbc.co.uk/ questiontime or call 09011 114411.
