A CASH boost is helping keep members of a North Yorkshire swimming club financially afloat.
Bedale Sharks Amateur Swimming Club has been given £300 towards the cost of a display board and swimming aids by financial service business AMP.
They became involved through Ian Campbell, a temporary collector.
His ten-year-old daughter Gemma swims with the club, to which he devotes 300 hours a year in his role as club secretary. He is also a poolside assistant and a qualified Amateur Swimming Association timekeeper and judge.
Mr Campbell applied to AMP for the grant under its employee community support programme.
