A COIN struck to mark the Queen's golden jubilee will be presented to all Richmond schoolchildren later this year.
It combines elements of the town's traditional audit money and the national jubilee coin produced by the Royal Mint.
One side shows the town's coat of arms with the motto Mater Omnium Richmundiarum - Mother of all Richmonds. Marked 1576 and Elizabeth Regina, it recalls the town charter given by Queen Elizabeth I.
The other side shows the current Queen's head and the words Golden Jubilee Elizabeth II 1952-2002.
The coin, designed by former town clerk Alan Wilcox, will be used as this year's audit money presented in December to residents aged over 60.
