PEOPLE living in Middlesbrough are being invited to get healthy at a series of free events this month.
The taster sessions, for people living in the town's Newport, West Lane and Whinney Banks areas, are being run by West Middlesbrough New Deal for Communities (NDC) and include blood pressure measurement, height and weight checks, healthy eating information and help with giving up smoking.
NDC health manager Pat Harriman said: "We ran the tasters back in September and they were really popular so we've decided to repeat them, and we want as many people as possible to come along and take part."
The Help Yourself to Health events take place today at Archibald Primary School, from 2pm to 6pm, tomorrow and Thursday at Whinney Banks Infant School, between 2.30pm and 7pm, on Monday at Newport Primary School, from 3pm to 6pm, Wednesday, March 13, at Whinney Banks Junior School, from 1pm to 4pm and on Thursday, March 21, at St Francis Primary School between 3pm and 6pm
