TORQUAY United striker Eifion WIlliams this afternoon completed a £30,000 move to Hartlepool United.
Pool boss Chris Turner snapped up the front-runner on a two and a half year deal, but not in time to play in tonight's encounter with Lincoln at Victoria Park.
Torquay paid Barry Town £70,000 for his services in March 1999 - and he bagged a hat-trick on his debut against Pool.
Turner has been a long-time admirer of the 26-year-old he is likely to play a major role in Pool's remaining nine games as they push for a play-off berth.
Williams will be paraded to the Pool fans ahead of tonight's game, which Pool need to win to keep their play-off ambitions on track.
