A FOLK group revisited the 1960s to promote an arts festival taking place in Darlington next week.
Darlington Folk Club rolled back the decades ahead of the annual Spring Thing festival at the town's Arts Centre.
A spokeswoman for the centre said: "The folk club relived the Sixties. Next week is our annual Spring Thing folk festival, which is a long series of events around folk music and dance."
The festival starts on Monday, with the showing of a documentary on folk clubs in the 1960s - hence the unusual gear worn by the Darlington members yesterday.
Other activities through the week include a play featuring songs by Jez Lowe and a young persons' sing-around.
The festival will culminate at the weekend with a concert featuring the John Wright band and Jez Lowe, with his band, the Bad Pennies.
