STOCKTON police are expecting youth groups to be "cueing" up to claim a full-sized snooker table.
The table, with cues, balls and scoring board, is being offered free to the most worthy cause, because the room where it stands in Stockton police station is needed for operational use.
The only catch for the recipients is that they will need to dismantle the large table and take it away themselves.
Wallace Sayer, of Stockton Crime Prevention Panel, said: "The table was given to the police club a number of years ago and is in good working order. Many officers will be sad to see it go but we intend to see it goes to a good home. The most worthy cause with youth connections can have it.
"Obviously the problem for them is dismantling it. It is a proper table with a slate bed and is extremely heavy."
