Deadline for road survey
The Highways Agency has warned anyone wanting to respond to the questionnaire on the future development of the A64 in North Yorkshire, that they have until April 2 to do so. Anyone wanting a leaflet should telephone (01925) 885153.

Bridge closure: The C118 Aysgarth to Carperby road is to be closed where it passes under the rail bridge next to the National Park Centre at Aysgarth from Monday to Friday next week. Although the closure is scheduled for five days, the work, a bridge inspection, is expected to be completed on the Monday.
Tourist plan: Members of Ryedale District Council have approved plans for an information centre, shop and tea room on a lavender farm at Terrington, near Malton.
Nurses gather: The Royal College of Nursing is to hold its annual congress at the Harrogate International Conference Centre from April 21 to 26. The congress theme will be Putting care first.
Museum minister: Foreign Office Minister Denis Macshane will be attending a special reception at the National Railway Museum in York today, for overseas students pursuing Foreign Office-sponsored studies at York University.
Road closure: Part of the main road through Borrowby, near Thirsk, is to be closed for five days from Monday to allow kerbing works to be carried out.
Body art: An exhibition celebrating the human body as an art form gets under way at Henshaw's Arts and Crafts Centre, in Knaresborough, on March 23. The display will be open from 10am to 5pm.
Whist drive: A whist drive will be held tonight in the Manor Close centre, Kirkbymoorside, to raise funds for Scarborough's St Catherine's Hospice. The event starts at 7.30pm.
Egg hunt: Lightwater Valley theme park is to hold an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 30.
