CHILDREN from Darlington Town Hall's Kids and Co nursery are joining staff at the Crown Street library to promote Bedtime Reading Week next week and World Book Day, next Thursday.
The youngsters will take their teddy bears to the library today to listen to favourite bedtime stories.
Activities during the week include a bedtime reading challenge, in which children who attend the Saturday Story Club will be invited to share their favourite stories.
The library's adult reading group will be selecting their favourite bedtime reading, and council staff have been asked to email their choices.
To mark World Book Day, members of the visually impaired reading group has recorded childhood reading experiences and talked about books they enjoyed as children for Darlington's Talking Newspaper.
