POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for a 14-year-old boy who went missing from his home last week.
Alexander James Pegram left his family home in Cardinal Close, Longbenton, Newcastle, last Friday lunchtime.
He was last seen by friends at The Green, Old Eldon Square, in Newcastle city centre, a weekend haunt for teenagers, at 2pm on Saturday.
His family contacted police when he failed to return home.
Police say there is no apparent reason for him to go missing and they are urging him to get in touch with his family.
Alexander, known as Alex to friends, is described as being 6ft tall and of thin build. He has shaved blond hair, blue eyes, and a spotty complexion. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with a white stripe, a green Army-style jacket, and a red baseball cap with the letters NY on the front
