A PENSIONER was rescued after collapsing at the top of a North Yorkshire landmark.
The 70-year-old man, from Durham, was walking with friends on Roseberry Topping, near Great Ayton, on Sunday lunchtime when he collapsed.
Cleveland Search and Rescue Team was alerted and reached the summit in four-wheel drive vehicles.
They took the man to a waiting ambulance and he was driven to Middlesbrough General Hospital. He was later discharged.
