THE Northumbria in Bloom competition is being launched on Teesside next week.
The launch is taking place at the Oakwood Centre, Eaglescliffe, on Monday.
Local authorities and groups from across the North-East will be sending delegates to receive details of this year's contest.
Organisations which have scooped prizes in the past will be sharing the secrets of their success in a series of presentations.
The speakers will include representatives from previous Britain in Bloom finalists and winners.
Geoff Field, Stockton Borough Council's cabinet member for the environment, said: "We were thrilled last year when our efforts to improve the appearance of the borough were recognised as Stockton was named most improved entry in the Northumbria in Bloom awards.
"But we are determined to build on our success and are launching a two-year action plan."
Stockton will also be the venue for the presentation of the awards in September.
