A KEEN footballer died from a heart abnormality, an inquest heard yesterday.
Glen Jenkins, 20, from Woodham, died on July 26 last year because he had suffered an undetected narrowing of the main artery leading into his heart.
The inquest at Bishop Auckland was told that Mr Jenkins, who lived with his mother in Pemberton Road, played football and other sports and had been very fit.
South-West Durham and Darlington Coroner Colin Penna recorded a verdict of death by natural causes.
