PEOPLE in Darlington will be able to find out more about how they can help the environment with a new information pack.
The pack, called A Helping Hand for Our Planet, has been produced by Millennium Volunteers from Northallerton College with help from Darlington Borough Council's Local Agenda 21 Team.
The pack contains information on how people can make a positive impact on their environment, looking at issues including recycling water, energy usage and sensible car usage.
In Darlington alone, enough rubbish is produced each year to fill the Market Square to the top of the clock tower three and a half times, and its disposal costs £3m a year.
Copies of the pack are available from Rachel Wood on (01325) 388582.
