CHILDREN at a Stockton school had a magical day, thanks to local poet Nick Toczek.
Mr Toczek visited Tilery Primary School to help pupils write poems.
Deputy headteacher Liz Miller said: "He performed some of his poetry in front of the whole school, but he included some magic and puppetry, which the kids loved.
"He was very funny and entertaining and the children went away afterwards and did some writing of their own, based on the rhyming techniques he taught them."
Parents were also invited to watch the performance and take part in workshops.
