STAFF at a Darlington supermarket will not have far to go to send greetings on Mothers' Day.
Seven staff members at Morrisons, in Morton Park, work alongside their mothers.
Keith Rogers, the store's general manager, said: "When people say that their work mates are like family to them, it is usually just a figure of speech, but here at Morrisons it is true.
"There is a real sense of community here and we are very proud of it."
Personnel manager Pauline Fieldhouse's daughter, Lyndsey Burns, is a customer service desk assistant, while delicatessen assistant Liz Mellor's daughter, Sandra, is a checkout operator.
Mother and daughter Margaret and Claire Bell work together on fresh preparation, while night shift worker Sandra Peverley's son, Michael, works on produce with Jamie Thompson, whose mother, Linda, is a member of the bakery staff.
Jean Richardson, who works in the customer caf, has two daughters working in the store, Clare, in personnel, and Sue in administration.
