IT has not taken Marion Cavagin long to ring the changes in her new job.
For the Consett woman has just been awarded train company Great North-Eastern Railway's Best Newcomer of the Year for her work at its Newcastle telesales centre.
Marion joined the company in August last year and works in Newcastle. She received an award for her outstanding contribution to teamwork and customer service.
She said: From the first day I joined telesales my colleagues made me feel very welcome and part of the team. To receive this award is a fantastic start to my career."
GNER's telecentre opened in 1996 and employs more than 350 staff handling about 55,000 calls and £1.5m ticket sales each week.
