A DRIVER who died on a North Yorkshire road is thought to have been taken ill at the wheel, an inquest was told.
A verdict of accidental death has been recorded on John Leworthy, 77, of Kendrew Close, Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, the driver of a car which collided with another vehicle on the A170 Kirkbymoorside to Helmsley road, at Howkeld Cottages, last September.
Neville Wood, of Beverley, East Yorkshire, the driver of the other car, told the hearing at Pickering: "The car came into the centre of the road, straight across at me. I pulled over to the left, but it was too late."
