The Unicorn Centre at Hemlington, is appealing to all chocolate lovers to join them at a Thorntons Chocolates evening at Springs Health Club at Teesside Park on Thursday, March 14.
This will be the perfect opportunity to indulge your sweet tooth and buy your Easter Eggs at the same time.
The evening starts at 7.30pm with a brief talk about the history of Thornton's Chocolates, and then there will be the opportunity to taste samples and buy the chocolates at a discounted price. There will be a raffle of a box of chocolates.
All the proceeds from the evening will go towards the Riding for the Disabled Association's Unicorn Centre. Tickets cost £2 (£1.50 concessions). Call the Unicorn Centre on 01642 576222 for details.
The Unicorn Centre is a centre built for providing riding and therapy for the disabled, with more than 150 riders using the facilities each week.
A National Lottery grant of £1.16m enabled the facility to be constructed, which includes indoor and outdoor arenas, integral stabling, and all disabled facilities.
The centre was opened in April 1998 with an official opening by HRH The Princess Royal in November 1998.
An education suite and office costing about £160,000 is under construction and due for completion at the end of May 2002.
