A REUNION is being planned for former pupils of a County Durham school.
Pupils who started at Ferryhill Grammar School in 1970 and left in 1975, or 1977, are meeting for the reunion, in June.
The event, which will be held in Sedgefield, is being organised by former pupils Karen Race and Caran Prest. More than 25 pupils have already been contacted.
Ms Prest said: "Unfortunately the school no longer has records from our year, so we are currently trawling through the telephone directory to locate past colleagues.
"The last reunion, 12 years ago, was a great evening and we are hoping to repeat it on June 7 this year." She can be contacted on (01325) 335435.
Meanwhile, a new website has been launched to reunite armed forces colleagues.
ComradesandColleagues has a database of more than 2000 units, squadrons, regiments and ships.
The idea was conceived by Mike Hosking, a former aircraft mechanic in the Fleet Air Arm.
Mr Hosking, of Wiltshire, said: "I had spent many hours online searching for old shipmates without success, so decided to take matters into my own hands."
The site can be accessed at comradesandcolleagues.com
