In a game of two halves Grosmont and Great Ayton came away with a point each.
In the first half Grosmont took a 2-0 lead and in the 20th minute a free kick taken by Bowes fell for Theaker to smash home from ten yards and shortly after Rose unexpectedly got his name on the sheet when he put in a deep cross for Woods who missed, the ball somehow going into the net.
In the second half Great Ayton took control with Sonley side footing into the net in the 20th minute from the edge of the box to pull a goal back. Grosmont almost went further ahead when Bowes shot from three yards only to hit the wrong side of the post. Ayton then scrambled a goal from Milburn to level, but the game finished with no more goals, a draw being a fair result.
Huntsman were in form to take a convincing victory over Hinderwell. Two goals in the first 20 minutes from Allen and Hodgson gave Huntsman the lead. Just before half time Sanderson pulled a goal back for Hinderwell. The second half was dominated by the home side, Hodgson netting a further three goals to finish off the match.
The 4-0 result at Lealholm does not show the true picture. The first half was even with not many chances. Boosbeck Utd came close early in the game when a Johnson shot hit the bar but uit was Lealholm who netted the only goal of the half in the 25th minute. In the second half Johnson hit the post then five minutes later a Brown header gave Lealholm their second. Boosbeck had a good spell against the run of play, Harland chipped the keeper to make it 3-1. Ten minutes later Dent made it four when he picked up a cross to take all three major league trophies.
For most of the first half of their match Whitby Fishermans had Brotton on the back foot but with 15 minutes to half time Solomon picked up a long ball and gave Brotton a slender lead at the break. Whitby failed to take their opportunities and with 20 minutes to go a crossed ball was headed back for Waters to net Brotton's second. Despite a continued Whitby attack Brotton held their lead in a close fought game.
