HARD-WORKING secretary Alison Dover and her team produced a good BSPS Area 3A winter qualifying show at Northallerton recently.

Annelise Stonehouse won the working hunter championship on Mayeath Royal Blessing ahead of Jacquetta Straker from Caldwell with her 15 hands winner The Gingerbread Man.

The latter, ridden by Jacquetta's sister Chloe, was also runner-up in the intermediate section behind Vicky Rae and McAuley.

Charlotte Mason scored a double working hunter win on her new pony Beckside Marktime, while the open went to Lauren Walker from Easingwold on Ballykissangel.

Leanne Hammond won the open nursery stakes on Lauren's former ride Shandryn Aprils Lad.

The Heritage section was judged by well-known sculptress Rosemary Hetherington from Middleham, with Great Ayton's Simon Charlesworth winning the open ridden with Quest of Mendice.

The novice ridden went to Cathryn Hinde on Bellandene Bramble Bobby Fior, ahead of Waitwith Goldrush, bred by Gill and Tom Farrow at Catterick and ridden by Jennifer Cowan.

Hannah Atkinson from Stokesley took the mini championship with her prolific winner Dryfe Sceptre Song ahead of Stokesley's Ben Jones on Season's Sovereign.

Chantelle Joslin rode Malcolm Pickle's homebred Crabfield Ariodante Diana to take the lead rein show hunter ahead of Joshua Atkinson on Treowen Rhiannon.

The novice show hunter championship went to Lauren Gill on Rhyllandell Amber Dawn ahead of Ellen Dewhurst on Blackamore Valentine.

Helen Dobbin and Duo Danny took the CHAPS coloured qualifier ahead of Sheena Watson on Hollywood Planet, while the novice intermediate show hunter went to Nicola Franks on Magic Max ahead of Joanna Tate from Kirklevington on Va Bien.
