Towns to get security TV
More than £230,000 of security TV equipment is to be installed in two east Cleveland towns by June. The cash, from the Home Office, will cover a £115,000 project in Marske and a £118,000 scheme in Loftus.
Book Day: People with unwanted books are being asked to donate them to Guisborough Bookshop and Yarm Bookshop as part of World Book Day next Thursday. They will be donated to Teesside Hospice.
Traffic calming: Proposed traffic calming measures along The Broadway, in Dormanstown, will be on display at the Charlton Road Community Centre next week. The public can give their views on the proposals between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Adult learning: People wanting to know more about adult learning opportunities in Redcar and Cleveland can find out the information from two new publications. The Annual Report summarises the range of provision for local communities and the Disability Statement gives information on access to courses for people with disabilities.
BULB PLANTING: Youngsters in Saltburn have been helping to keep their town tidy by planting bulbs. They met on Wednesday at the town centre garden, opposite Somerfield, to take part in a gardening lesson. The town's Saltburn In Bloom organisation has been given £50 for bulbs and flowers from the Whitbread Trust.
