A alternative Doctors' Gate Fell race was staged due to snow and icy conditions which made the original route unsafe. A two and a half mile route was quickly devised and made into a two lap course.
Barry Stephenson was first home for the Quakers in second place overall in a time of 31:05, followed by Alasdair Tatham in third (33:55).
Others: Ken Maynard 4th, 33:59, Stuart Ferguson 10th, 36:44, Rob McSherry 12th, 37:34, Scott Archbold, 15th, 39:31, Jez Smith, 24th, 44:05, Richard Tait, 30th, 52:49, Mike Horan, 35th, 1:01:42.
The next Quakers organised event is the fifth race in the Castle Eden Walkway Winter Handicaps Series. The race is a five and a half mile trail race on the Castle Eden Walkway and starts from the Visitor Centre near Thorpe Thewles at 10:30 am. Runners must be aged 16 years on the day and entry is taken on the day of the race
