A NORTH-EAST village's luncheon club is enjoying the taste of success following a community grant award.
Thanks to the £300 cash award from the North Eastern and Cumbrian Co-op's community dividend fund, the club at Brotton, east Cleveland, now has hot water on tap.
The money has enabled volunteers to buy a water boiler, speeding up the making of tea and coffee for the 45 members of the over 60s club, which meets at the village's St Margaret's Church Centre.
The Co-op's fund, built from donations from customers, supports community projects. To get an application form, contact 0191-477 0291.
