POLICE are to be asked to deploy speed guns in a village plagued by traffic problems.
The move is the latest in the saga of traffic-calming in Castleton.
At last week's meeting of Danby Group Parish Council, Councillor David Hodgson said early-morning speed guns had been used in Hutton-le-Hole.
"If they can do it, why can't we?" he said. "It's the sensible course to take."
Chairman Herbert Tindall said a recent check had shown an average speed of 33mph through the village
