Bookworms are welcome at Darlington College at Catterick, when the campus celebrates World Book Day next week.
The emphasis will be on fun between 10am and 4.30pm on Thursday, with entertainment and games laid on.
A number of stalls will also be selling both new and second-hand books and will accept the £1 World Book Day vouchers.
College principal, John Young, said: "As the college is a hub for community activities and learning, we thought it would be appropriate to become involved in World Book Day.
"We already have a regular number of children who come here to make the most of our Childcare Centre and after-school clubs and we hope our event will attract many more."
This year's is the fifth annual World Book Day - a national event designed to encourage books and reading among children in the UK, while supporting international charities which promote books and reading abroad.
Oxfam is among them and staff at the Richmond branch will also be reflecting the World Book Day theme next week.
The shop in Finkle Street already has stock to sell, including some signed by local authors. However, more second-hand books are welcome and can be left at the shop.
