A MOTORIST died in a head-on collision at the weekend.
Cleveland police believe the dead man's car crossed Low Lane, Middlesbrough, into the path of an oncoming vehicle on Saturday.
The 32-year-old, who has not been named, but came from Teesside, was driving a Vauxhall Astra estate east on the B1380 road when it collided with a Vauxhall Cavalier heading towards Yarm.
The 48-year-old local driver of the Cavalier escaped with superficial injuries, but his 50-year-old woman passenger was admitted to Middlesbrough General Hospital with a cracked breastbone.
Cleveland Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on (01642) 301558
