NIKOS DABIZAS insists a full-strength Newcastle can repeat their Premiership triumph at Arsenal when they return for the FA Cup quarter-final replay on Saturday week.
Centre-back Dabizas is convinced the likely availability of injured trio Kieron Dyer, Craig Bellamy and Gary Speed will give Bobby Robson's side a psychological edge over the Gunners.
Manager Robson is optimistic that Dyer (foot), Bellamy (knee) and Speed (hamstring) will all be in contention.
Newcastle won 3-1 at Highbury a week before Christmas when they ended their London jinx with their first victory in 29 visits to the capital.
And Dabizas maintained: "Mentally, we will have an advantage this time because we know we will hopefully have Kieron, Craig and Gary back. With those three, I don't see why we can't go there and do it again.
"Arsenal also have a lot of games to play with being in the Champions' League. If we have our key players back, it will be a different story to Saturday.'' Newcastle dominated at St. James' Park but fell behind early in the game and had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Dabizas said: "When you have players like Jamie McClen in the side against Patrick Vieira, you think it's unfair because Jamie is just a small lad with little experience and Vieira is a world-class player.
"We had Kieron, Craig and Gary out and we haven't got the squad to replace them.
"But the lads who came in played above themselves and I think Jamie was probably man of the match.
"We never game them a sniff of goal in the second half and we were more determined to win the battles than they were. We were by far the better side.'' Dabizas was at fault when Edu struck in the 14th minute, the Greek international finding himself on the wrong side of the Brazilian midfielder in front of goal.
But Dabizas shifted much of the blame to teammate Sylvain Distin, who allowed Sylvain Wiltord to cross from the right.
"I thought Sylvain was going to cut it out, and but for some reason Wiltord managed to cross and Edu got in front of me,'' said Dabizas.
"We talked about it afterwards, and Sylvain thought he would cut the ball out.
"They scored first out of nothing and it was unbelievable how they scored when they didn't create any chances. We dominated and they had to defend the whole time. We were unlucky.
"Some teams with a lower status than Arsenal have caused more problems for us.'' Laurent Robert reacted to criticism from his teammates by grabbing a superb second-half equaliser and producing a much more committed performance.
Dabizas said: "Robert is the kind of player who can do something special and win the game for you, but sometimes he seems to be out of the rhythm of the game.
"I think that's his style. It's not that he's lacking the effort, but all the lads have been trying to tell him to work hard.
"He is not used to it, but this was a sign that he can do it and he knows that. We know we all have to try hard for each other and Laurent is no different.
"He was not used to this when he was with Paris St. Germain, but when you're a winger in the Premiership you have to defend as well.
"He has to understand the culture of the game. If he can combine his talents we will have a very good player - possibly the best in the League.
"You can't compare him with Robert Pires because this is only Laurent's first season here and you have to judge him more next season.''
