A HOLIDAY camp chain is offering young snooker stars the chance to win £6,000 in sponsorship.
Pontin's will award sponsorship packages worth £3,000 each to two young players who win a tournament, being held at Prestatyn Sands Centre, North Wales, next month.
During the event, which runs from April 1 to 5, there will also be a plate competition for entrants eliminated in rounds one and two.
To help promote the event, snooker star John Parrott passed on tips to enthusiasts Ben Davis, of Sherburn Village and Robert Hartley, of Blackburn, at Prestatyn.
To enter, youngsters have to be staying with their families at the centre.
It will also host World Snooker's Open Tour Number Six during its Spring Festival, from May 17 to 24.
All guests staying at the centre during that period will be eligible to enter Pontin's open events and the World Snooker Open
