A MAN is being questioned by police following a knifepoint robbery at a North-East travel agents yesterday.
A masked robber escaped with a small amount of money shortly before 10.30am after threatening staff at Going Places, in North Road, Durham. No one was hurt, but staff were left badly shaken.
Within minutes, a man in his thirties fitting the robber's description was arrested as he was getting into a taxi. Police recovered money and a knife.
The man was taken to Durham City police station.
