Dance master class in line
Peter Huggins, choreographer with the National Youth Dance Company (NYDC), is holding a master class on Teesside. Peter and Geoff Hobson of Tees Dance Initiative will devise and rehearse an original dance piece with Middlesbrough Youth Dance Group and the Linx Youth Dance Group, to be performed on stage, in public, with dancers from the NYDC at Middlesbrough Theatre on Sunday.
PLUMBING BOOST: Redcar plumbing merchants Plumb Center has given a £100 boost to Dormanstown Primary School. The donation is going towards the school's activities fund to help with educational day trips for pupils. The company has a base on the Dormanstown Industrial Estate.
TEMPORARY LIGHTS: There will be temporary lights in Church Lane at Eston for four weeks to allow for repairs to a gas main by Transco.
CHOIR EVENING: Marske Ladies Lifeboat Guild presents an evening with Marske Fishermen's Choir at New Marske Sports Club on Friday, at 8pm. Tickets are £2. All proceeds will go to help saving lives at sea.
EASTER STALL: The League of Friends at Stead Memorial Hospital, in Redcar, will hold an Easter stall including Easter eggs and a raffle at Redcar Central Library on Thursday, from 9.30am.
Cabaret night: St Mary's College in Saltersgill Avenue, Middlesbrough, is holding a Cabaret Night on Thursday in the college library at 7.30pm. The evening will include students and staff performing music together. Tickets cost £3 and include a glass of wine. They are available on (01642) 814680.
Abseil challenge: The Royal National Institute for the Blind held an abseil from Marks and Spencer in the Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, Hartlepool on Sunday. Braving the weather, 150 abseilers raised £17,000 for blind and partially-sighted adults and children in the area.
ECZEMA SUPPORT: Dermatology nurse Coral Kennedy is leading the Teesside Eczema Support Group, which provides emotional support, information and education for people with the skin condition. It will next meet at the dermatology outpatient department at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough on March 20.
