MEMBERS of a Bedale swimming club can keep themselves afloat, thanks to a second grant from a financial services firm.
Bedale Sharks have received the £300 grant from AMP towards the cost of a display board and swimming aids.
AMP became involved through Ian Campbell, a temporary collector at its Hull branch, who devotes more than 300 hours a year to his role as club secretary and poolside assistant.
He applied to AMP for a grant under its employee community support programme, under which employees who spend more than 80 hours working for a charity or local group are eligible for grants of up to £300.
Employees' fundraising efforts are also backed, with the company matching cash raised, pound for pound, up to £300.
Last year an AMP grant paid for starting blocks for the club.
