Two teenage cousins, who asked an eight-year-old boy to perform a sex act on them, have been made the subject of a supervision order.
The Darlington schoolboys, aged 15 and 17, had been playing together in a bedroom with the boy, also a relative, when the younger teenager asked him to perform a sex act.
The child did so, while watched by the 17-year-old, who also asked the boy to perform the act but the youngster refused.
The incident came to light when the child told his father who then reported it to his son's school teacher and the police.
Both teenagers were made the subject of a supervision order for two years by Darlington Youth Court.
The 15-year-old was ordered to be put on the sex offenders register for two and a half years.
